What is a Newborn Model Call in the Quad Cities?
For those unfamiliar with the term, model call, it is an invitation to model for. me, Model calls are low-cost sessions that allow me the freedom to practice, experiment, and learn. Even with 15 years experience as a photographer in the Quad Cities, I'm up to the challenge of learning new techniques and trying out new trends. It's low-pressure for both parties; they don't have to have any experience modeling or have any ideas in mind. It allows for me to have the freedom of trial and error before taking these techniques. It also gives families the opportunity to get professional photos at a lower price point.

As a mother of three and a family photographer, I know how hard it can be to feel pretty right after giving birth, but I always do my best to give every Quad Cities family a welcoming environment and make it easy by providing loads of clothing options at the studio that they can can choose at their leisure. This, of course, also applies to fathers and siblings. I value everyone's comfort. We were able to get some gorgeous photos with natural light streaming through, a technique I was practicing.

Newborns are so unpredictable. Little Callahan is still learning how to be a person and the world is confusing. It's difficult, but it's so important to capture these fleeting moments with professional Bettendorf newborn photography before they grow. It's even more important to get one with the older sibling and the newly born baby at a family newborn session. Sometimes, I do all I can, yet I can't get the whole picture how I want. Thankfully, photoshop gives me the ability to fuse the child's beautiful smile from one picture and put it onto the photo of Callahan to make the perfect photo. I loved experimenting with a cute knitted sweater instead of all photos being wrapped, he looked amazing.
